Buying An Education

Beautiful women and cars that go fast
Don't waste your time or your money
on things that don't last
I've seen the world and it's hypocritical lies
but I now see the world
through crystal clear eyes
********************
If a young chap should come knocking on your door trying to sell you the services of his Feng Shui "grand-master" for $6,000 you may want to tell him to turn around and hit the road. Don't be dazzled by the promises of lineage, oral secrets, and indoor studentship. No one can make you a master for $6,000 ........or $6,000,000 for that matter. Masters are created through passion not through pricing. Anyways, if this culprit happens to be lurking around your neighborhood, quickly close and lock your doors and call the Feng Shui police. Not that the police will be able to do anything about it, but at least the neighborhood will be prepared. Caveat Emptor (Buyer Beware) !

So, if you pay for your education it is NO GOOD? Well thats the way it works.
It is the fool that stops at the piece of paper. Who forgets the process. For a person who thrives on education, this sounds arrogant and narrow minded. Practicle application is the education. I just wonder who is qualified to do a Feng Shui reading, a frail Master in the Japanese Mountains? Well he does not come to Ohio We are void of Mountains, so it takes someone who is bound by the destructive energy to understand the importance of improving ones situation. And the person who knows they can help people and who care enough to share this Science, that is left to do it. Some are driven by passion, some by greed, most BOTH however people with knowledge have a responsibility to share their wisdom and not shove it in their orafices and retain it fear of being copied.

Ahhh Madam B -

You sound so determined in your post and it seems as it was written with great passion. Allow me to respond...hopfully in the order you wrote it. From my observations 9 out of 10 times when you pay for an education it is no good...at least in terms of metaphysics. The reason being is because you are being taught because of money and the desire and passion is missing. A teacher only teaches because they are being paid...take away the money and you have no teacher. This is not true knowledge. The fool may stop at the piece of paper, but the wise one has no ties to papers...or teachers for that matter. The fool will have "paper knowledge" and the wise one has practical knowledge. BIG difference. You are right in saying that "practical application is the education".

I agree that a frail Japanese master does not come to Ohio... but offer him a bob or two and he'll be on the first plane. When he gets here it will do no one any good because of the conditions that brought him here. Now...a person who is bound by destructive energy better understand THEIR OWN situation before they can correct someone else's destructive situation. I think this is what you meant.

Ok, I have to agree that some are driven by passion and some by greed. I may even possibly have to agree with you that people with knowledge have a responsibility to share their wisdom. It is not a duty however...there is a difference between responsibility and duty...and if wisdom is given out of a forced duty then I doubt it does anyone any good because then it starts smelling like dogma. The wise one knows when to give and when to take, the wise one knows the yin and the yang...and yes, the wise one knows when to shove their knowledge in their orafice and retain it till it is the right time to share.

It is always a pleasure Madam B.
Warmest Regards

Andy

Thank you for your time and energy in your response. It is important to feel many perspectives on education. This world is built on practicle application, unfortunatly the peice paper means credibility to those who have the passion to practice. I am intersted in your thoughts and theory of Feng Shui. When things are trendy, many jump on the band wagon when things are true it is more effective to maintain focus. You are a teacher with a tremendous amount to offer I just wish you would offer a brighter prospective on metaphysics, opposed to spending time and energy exposong phonies. We as ducklings following you acrossed the street need your guidence not your bitterness. Please use this blog as a tool for enlightenment opposed to nastiness.
Always, Madam B

Dear Madam B -

There is no need to ever thank me for responding to you because I consider it a pleasure and surely worthwile. I enjoy reading what you have to say. My thoughts and theories on Feng Shui are so radically different than what is being taught and accepted today...or in other words, just as you said "trendy". It is a perfect word. I don't fit the FS trend or fashion. That is the reason you will rarely see me writing on the subject. Very simply put, I think FS today is a J-O-K-E.

Many people have told me the same thing you have...that I spend too much time exposing phonies. Well, the truth is that I spend very little time exposing the phonies and charlatans. I spend my time in studies, learning, teaching, practicalities, and observing nature. The little time I have remaining I devote to exposing the metaphysical frauds. In reality I spend less than 1/4 % of my time in doing this. That is one-fourth of one percent. That is not too much of my energy to give to what I believe is a reasonable cause. For every person that tells me I should not spend time exposing fakes, I have 10 that say they appreciate it and support me. But I do know what you are saying, and I hope that you can learn more from my blog than 'nastiness'. The nastiness is all part of the process and to avoid the realities of metaphysics is irresponsible and unproductive. If nastiness equals truth...I would rather be nasty than nice. Rarely do you find the truth as beautiful...except perhaps in fairy-tales.

I hope my response does not upset you because it seems to me that you are quite wise and wise people are the ones I like to hang around with :-) Maybe one day you can write a post for my blog...I would be honored. And by the way, thank you for your kind compliments, it is very appreciated. Believe it or not Madam B, I am not a bitter person deep inside.

Wishing You The Very Best

Andy
